We "Can" Do Great Things!
This six weeks our character education word is citizenship. What better way to show good citizenship than to support and care for our neighbor!. The students at Rocky River are collecting canned foods for families in our community. Many families struggle each day to meet there basic needs and this is one way the students can give back to the community who supports us every day.
We are excited to see what our final goal can be. We will share the food with two wonderful agencies who will be supporting our own families here at Rocky River--The Monroe Christmas Bureau and the Common Cupboard, a food pantry located in Indian Trail who will be providing Thanksgiving meals for many of our families.
Please feel free to drop off any canned goods here at Rocky River the week of Nov 5 through the 9th.
