Pencil Project for Piggs Peak

Pencils collected by PRMS eighth graders

Have you wondered how far pencils can go? How can one pencil influence another person's life? Here's how! The Pencil Project is a charitable event for eighth grade students who will by participating by homerooms to bring in as many brand new, unsharpened pencils as they can. These pencils will go overseas to Piggs Peak, Swaziland, Africa to children in need.

The homeroom class that brings in the most new pencils will be awarded a donut breakfast from Dunkin Donuts. To kick things off, students received one dollar off of the admission price to the first basketball game on November 8, 2012.  Next time you see pencils, remember, "Think of the children in need."
