3rd Graders Learn About The Philippines Via Skype
Mrs. Keri Flynn's 3rd grade students have been taking a closer look at the Philippines as they prepare a Google Docs Presentation comparing and contrasting the United States and the Philippines.
As part of that research, the class created questions to go along with the topic partners they are researching (i.e. A Day in the Life of a Kid, Food, Games & Sports, Getting Around, etc.) and presented them to Caroline Gopun, during a Skype session this morning.
Mrs. Gopun is a first grade VIF (Visiting International Faculty) teacher at Poplin Elementary, and is from the Philippines. She was able to share some of her knowledge, stories, and experiences about her home country with Mrs. Flynn's students during this session.
Students will be presenting their Google Docs Presentation to their parents on December 18th.
