Technical Theatre Class Creates "Some" Set, Just "Terrific"!!
The Marvin Ridge High School Technical Theatre Class has worked this fall semester on using the skills and elements learned in their curriculum in order to bring the set of Charlotte's Web alive on stage. The students in this class worked with woodcrafting tools, weaving techniques, and paint to create both a barn and fair setting for Wilbur. Mr. Winston Sims, Theatre Director and instructor for the technical theatre class, is thoroughly impressed with the effort with which the students completed the set. Timing is everything in theatre, and the efficiency of the tech theatre students have allowed the cast and crew of Charlotte's Web to have more time practicing on the actual set than any previous production at Marvin Ridge.
