Students make blankets for homeless children

Mandy Mills 2nd grade class proudly displays their blankets they made for homeless children.

After reading the book, "Great Joy" by Kate DiCamillo, Mandy Mills' 2nd grade class decided that they too should donate warm blankets for those who are homeless. With the help of their teachers and room parents, Mrs. Mills' class made four warm and fuzzy fleece blankets to donate to a local charity in Union County.

Operation Outreach of Monroe helps many local children in need. Mrs. Mills' class did a wonderful job making these blankets and plan on creating heartfelt cards during their Christmas party as well.
