Special Package for Sandy Hook Elementary

Mrs. Abee’s class proudly displays their snow inspired creations before they were sent to Sandy Hook Elementary School.

On the first Thursday of the New Year, January 3rd, children from our Kindergarten classes worked very hard cutting out unique designs, dabbing glue and sprinkling silver glitter to create sparkling snowflakes for the new Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. One of our compassionate parents, from Ms. Abernethy’s class, heard about the project to create a winter wonderland, inside the newly opened school. She generously volunteered to ship these special snowflakes created by the precious hands of our caring little ones. While the kindergarteners were not made aware of the tragedy, they knew there were children who needed a bit of good cheer and gladly lent a hand.
