Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Wright's Class is Digging Deep!
The students in Mrs. Roberts’ and Mrs. Wright’s class have been digging deep, but not with shovels! Instead, we’ve been using computers, dictionaries, library books, and our curiosity! So, what have we been curious about? Some of the topics include:
Hummingbirds – did you know that they can fly backwards?
Christmas in other countries – we researched Mexico, The United Kingdom, and Germany
Life Cycles – did you know that the life stage of a frog after a tadpole but before a frog is called a froglet?
Habitats – we learned about plants and animals in different habitats such as grasslands, forests, deserts, and oceans
Once we looked up information on our topic, we took notes on paper and then rewrote our information into report form. We even had fun illustrating our reports with our own drawings or pictures we found in magazines.
We also learned that working with a partner is a lot more fun than working by ourselves!
Getting the facts… we’re digging it!
