International Week at Porter Ridge Elementary School

Ms. Katie Barker, an Exceptional Children's Teacher at Porter Ridge Elementary School, organized International Day as a learning opportunity for her students. The class researched about their classroom country, Madagascar, and made a display to share at the school's International Book Fair week.

Ms. Barker's class learned about the location, climate, plants, animals, and the culture of Madagascar. The students have been working very hard to create and display their work for others to see.

Porter Ridge Elementary is a global school that promotes 21st century learning by helping children understand different cultures and customs around the world. The entire student body at Porter Ridge will have the chance to explore different countries by visiting the displays during book fair week. In learning about global cultures, our children will have the opportunity to better understand the world around them! Thank you to all the Porter Ridge parents and community members who came out to support this event!
