SAVE Sponsors Teddy Bear Drive

The CHS SAVE Club is reaching out to the community once again this February. Lexi Vankoughnett, a member of the National Youth Advisory and SAVE Club officer, has organized a Teddy Bear Drive for the children diagnosed with cancer at the Levine Children’s Hospital. The drive will take place February 14 through March 1, 2013.

SAVE Club president Jessica Weber said, “Our goal is to remind the children that they are loved and we want to bring a smile to their faces any way we can. The SAVE Club is proud to have Lexi as an officer. Her kind heart and considerate mindset are qualities that SAVE strives to uphold.”

When asked why she decided to organize this event, Lexi responded, “I decided to organize this activity because I have always wanted to reach out to children with cancer and help brighten their day.”

The club is collecting all varieties of stuffed animals for the project. Anyone wishing to donate may drop off the toys in the front office through March 1.
