Welcome Back to School!
Welcome back to school! The staff at Cuthbertson High School is excited to be gearing up for its 5th amazing year! We would like to extend a big welcome to our new students. The first day for students will be Monday, August 26. Doors will open at 7:30; the first bell rings at 7:50 am. Students should plan to report to homerooms to receive important information at that time.
There are several important dates to be aware of in the first couple of weeks: ‘Open House’ will be held Thursday, August 22 from 5:30-7:30. This is a time for students and their families to find their classrooms, familiarize themselves with the school layout, order PE uniforms, obtain bus information, and purchase spiritwear. The first day of school is Monday, August 26. Monday, September 2 is the Labor Day Holiday, and Monday, September 9 is the fall semester ‘Meet the Teacher / Curriculum Night’ from 6-8 pm. This event gives parents the opportunity to go through a mini version of their child’s day and spend time with teachers learning more about the curriculum.
There are also several athletic events planned in the coming weeks. These may be viewed on the school website calendar and also through our weekly E-news called ‘The Cavalier Circular.'
We are also extremely excited that this year will be our first year of implementing the 1:1 laptop initiative in all grades, 9th through 12th. Be sure and check our website frequently for important information and updates about this initiative as well as other school events!
It’s going to be a great year – welcome back, Cavaliers!
