Jeff Kraftson is the new Principal for Parkwood Middle

 Mr. Jeff Kraftson is thrilled about his new assignment as Principal at Parkwood Middle School!!! Mr. Kraftson currently resides in Stallings, NC with his wife, Emily, a UCPS guidance counselor, and his two daughters who both attend school in UCPS.
After growing up outside Washington, D.C., Mr. Kraftson moved to the Chicago suburb of Wheaton, IL where he graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in Communications. Mr. Kraftson began his educational career as a teacher's assistant in an Exceptional Children's class in a suburban Chicago high school. After moving to the Charlotte area, Mr. Kraftson received his teaching certification, Masters in Special Education, and Principal's license from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Currently, Mr. Kraftson is pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Wingate University.
After spending six years as an Exceptional Children's teacher at Myers Park High School in CMS, Mr. Kraftson accepted a position as an Assistant Principal at Piedmont Middle School. After two years at Piedmont, he was reassigned to Porter Ridge Elementary School where he remained for two years.
When asked about his new position, Mr. Kraftson said, “I am extremely excited to be back at the middle school level and to have the opportunity and privilege to work with the staff, parents, and students in the Parkwood community! I am truly honored to be joining the Parkwood community and look forward to continuing to build on the school’s long standing tradition of excellence.” Go Bears!!!
