1st Day of School

The 2013- 2014 school year got off to a Gatorific start on Monday, August 26 at Antioch! First through fifth grade students were welcomed back by teachers and staff members, while Kindergarten Gators-- the Class of 2026-- entered school for the first time ever!

The first day was filled with welcome speeches from teachers, activities to help students get to know each other, and the excitement of new classes and routines. The energy in the building was palpable as students learned the routines that would guide them through the year to come

Principal Karen Dillon said, “This is always the most exciting day of the school year. It is so great to see our Gators come back to us each fall, ready to take on the challenges of a new school year.”

Returning 5th grade students felt much the same way as they began their final year of elementary school: glad to meet new teachers and catch up with old friends.

After a busy but productive first day, staff and students were glad to head home and relax... and gear up for a Gator-tastic year ahead!
