4th Annual Veggie Fest
The Environmental Club held it’s 4th annual veggie fest on Sept. 5th. “We hold this event at the beginning of the year to invite new members and gather friends to socialize over healthy, local, sustainable food.” explained President Jillian Anderson.
The Environmental Club encourages healthy eating, but students don’t have to be a vegetarian to join Environmental Club. One of the club’s goals this year is to explore how to eat locally and support local farmer’s markets.
Local eating helps maintain soil, conserve energy by using less fossil fuels, and support local farming families and the regional economy. If you are interested in joining the club, the next meeting will be on Sept. 19th in Ms. Kopchick’s room. Everyone is welcome!
