Recognized as a Title I Reward school for the 2013-2014 School Year
Rocky River is being recognized as a Title 1 Reward school for the 2013-14 school year. This is exciting news for our school as we received this recognition last year as well. State Board Superintendent, June Atkinson shared the following about being a reward school. "These schools are recognized for challenging all students to their highest academic potential, regardless of personal circumstances they may bring to the classroom. Educators at these schools show us that given the right tools, they can help students reach their academic goals."
Rocky River is being recognized for being among the highest 10 percent of all title 1 schools. We have made the most progress in improving the performance of all students over a number of years on statewide assessments.
Our success can be attributed to hard working students, a dedicated group of teachers, and supportive parents. Our teachers believe that our children can achieve more each year. Each year as we set and reach goals and increase the overall academic performance of our students, we are energized to keep the momentum. The students of Rocky River are amazing and obviously care about learning. They make me proud everyday.
