Meet Shiloh’s New SPLASH Teachers

Please welcome our new SPLASH teachers!

I am Irene Zamora and I am very excited to be working here at Shiloh for this school year! I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, where I have been working as a pre-school, kindergarten, first, and third grade classroom teacher and ESL teacher. I am also a swim teacher and I used to be a high level swimmer and surf lifesaver in my country. I have been living in Australia, where I volunteered as a lifeguard while I was training swimming and surf lifesaving, and I have also volunteered in designing, planning and teaching workshops for teachers in Ghana, Africa.

I am currently a kindergarten teacher in the VIF Splash program, and I am really glad I'm part of it, as I was taught through an English immersion program for Spanish speakers myself.
I would like to have a big THANK YOU to all the Shiloh community members I already met, because they have been extremely kind and helpful. I hope to get to know all of you better as the school year goes by!

Please say "Hola!" next time you see me in the hallway. Our Splash kids already do so!

A special greeting for Shiloh community! My name is Andrea Herrera and I am the new Splash teacher in first grade. I had been teaching Spanish for seven years and also English as foreign and second language in preschool and elementary school in my home country, Colombia. It is a pleasure for me to be part of Shiloh’s Staff and to share with children and colleagues cultural knowledge and the amazing experience of learning another language. It is wonderful to be part of a project that is focusing all the resources and knowledge to help this generation of students to be successful and global. Remember that in Shiloh we also speak Spanish!
