Independence Day - Monday September 16
Independence Day is a very important day for our students. School is a safe place for students to begin practicing independence in order to make them responsible people. Within the school setting they are protected but it allows students to make choices and to understand accountability and trust. Even at a young age, parents want to know that their child can make good decisions when for that one moment, the adults eyes, are elsewhere. Allowing children the opportunity to get out of the car and walk into the school to their designated area independently, gives children this confidence. They never know that support is built all around them to make this first step successful. Celebrate with your child their independence with us! Watch your youngster smile with pride when they are successful. And parents, a pat on the back for giving this wonderful gift to your child.
