Parkwood Hosts Second Annual Club Day

Seniors Amanda Ponsart, Britney Kletter and Brittney Powell man the Key Club table at Club Day.

On Friday, August 30th, Inter-Club Council hosted the second annual Club Day during lunches. Various clubs had booths set up in the Student Center and interested students could see pictures of what the clubs had done, pick up applications and talk to current members. Clubs present at the event were: Student Council, FCCLA, AFJROTC, FFA, International, Video Game, Beta, Anime, Drama and Key Club.

Club Day was not only a way to let students know about the many clubs that Parkwood offers but also an event to promote extra-curricular participation. Vinson Covington, co-organizer of Inter-Club Council, said Club Day is “a way to increase school spirit and get people involved with clubs.” Senior Kaelie Carter agreed, “There were a lot of clubs there that would give students a chance to meet other students with similar interests.”

Each fall Inter-Club Council plans to host a club day so that students are informed and involved at Parkwood!
