Celebrating Constitution Day

Students in Mrs. Tresher’s Kindergarten class created a class constitution and attached the American Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Constitution Day and Citizenship Day are celebrated in the United States each year on September 17th. It is a day to honor the Constitution of the United States.

In Kindergarten this past Tuesday, the youngest Poplin Patriots celebrated Constitution Day in Mrs. Tresher’s Kindergarten class.

Students compared the United States to other countries that do not have the same rights and freedom we have.

Tresher said her class discussed the United States flag and what it means. “We talked about what it means to be free in the United States and how to respect our flag,” said Tresher.
