We are so excited to have our first ever Safety Patrol officially on duty at Stallings Elementary! One of our 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Swann, initiated the group and she is now proudly guiding them as they help out in various ways at our school. Fifth grade students applied and were accepted to fill these important roles. There are currently two different groups of Safety Patrol members. The ones pictured here are working during the first semester. Later in the year, we hope to feature our second semester group as well. These students are very dedicated and responsible and they are super excited to represent our school as part of the Inaugural Safety Patrol team. We greatly appreciate all they are doing! If you get a chance please tell them “thank-you”. You may see them wearing their belts and badges and helping out in the car rider line, hallways, or the cafeteria. GOOD JOB KIDS!!!
An interesting note is that when Mrs. Swann was a student she was on the Safety Patrol in her school. She absolutely loved it and wanted other students to have this opportunity too. Thanks to Mrs. Swann for holding on to her dream and for bringing this great opportunity for students to our school!
