Tyler Johnson walks for Autism Speaks
On Saturday September 28, 2013, Tyler Johnson participated in the Greater Charlotte Chapter's 11th Annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks at the ZMax Drag-way in Concord, NC. This is the second year that he and his family have participated as members of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office team; MCSO for Autism Speaks. This year Tyler's picture was featured on the "tribute trail" along the walk route. His photo was prominently displayed with the caption: "This is why I walk". Piedmont Middle's own Mr. Falkenburg and his wife joined Tyler and his team for the walk. This annual event is the largest fundraiser for the Greater Charlotte Chapter of Carolina's Autism Speaks supporting the four pillars of Autism Speaks' mission - research, advocacy, family services and awareness.
