Player of the Game: Max Robinson
Parkwood’s football player number 12 ran 45 yards on a fake punt, tackled four, intercepted the ball, and rushed 38 yards on three carries. At the end of the last quarter with the final score Parkwood 14 and Cuthbertson 24, junior Max Robinson was awarded the Player of the Game from Bob Mayberry Hyundai. Robinson was given a plaque, had his picture taken with Dustin Speights from Bob Mayberry and was featured in the Union County Weekly newspaper.
“It makes me proud to know that I was the Player of the Game because it makes me feel like all my hard work over the summer has paid off.” said Robinson. Robinson stated, “This football season is the best we have had in a while, but now I feel like there is a set standard for our playing.”
When asked to share some advice about how to get recognized and receive the Player of the Game award, Robinson replied, “Always listen to your coaches and never be selfish.” He also wanted to give a shout out to the team and the coaching staff.
Athletic Director, Lynn Coble commented, "I am very proud of Max and the success he is experiencing this season. He is a big part of the success that we have found this year."
