Shiloh’s 1st annual Family Literacy Night is coming!
Our first annual Shiloh Family Literacy Night will take place on Thursday, October 24th from 5:00-7:00pm. All Shiloh families are invited and encouraged to attend. The purpose of Shiloh’s Family Literacy Night is to encourage families to read and write together at home . There will be several different workshops that families may choose from at this exciting event. We will have special visitors on hand, including presenters from the Union County Public Library and the Union County Literacy Council. We will also have help from some other familiar UCPS staff members at Shiloh. (You’ll need to come to find out who they are!)
Our presenters will have several ideas for families to help encourage integrating literacy at home, and on how to instill an on-going love and interest in reading. We know that each workshop will be of great value to our school families. There will even be door prizes at every workshop! Also, pizza and snacks will be available for purchase.
We hope to see all of you at Shiloh’s Family Literacy Night. This is one event that you will not want to miss!
