The "Mane Event"
It is hard to believe but the end of the school year is nearly upon us. One of the year end highlights is the 8th grade “Mane Event†dance and promotion celebration on June 9 and 10.
On June 9, the school cafeteria will be transformed for the “Mane Event†black and white masquerade dance titled “Our Time is coming…Class of 2014â€. The dance will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and students are welcome, but not required, to dress according to the theme. Tickets are still available and ticket sales have been extended to May 14.
On June 10, 8th grade students will gather in the school gymnasium for the promotion ceremony which will run from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Each student will receive two tickets to the ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, students will meet in the pit with their homeroom teachers to receive their promotion materials. From there, parents may sign their children out for early dismissal.
Part of the celebration includes a video tribute to the all of the 8th graders as they leave MRMS and move on to high school. Please send three photos of your child to email@example.com to ensure that your child is included in the video.
