Kindergarten Is Visited by Local Fire Department

Mrs. Tarlton's class talks with a local fireman about his truck.

Kindergarten has been studying about their community. They are learning about community helpers and how everyone has a role in the community. They had the privilege to be visited at school by two local fire fighters in October to talk about their role in the community. Kindergarten has been studying community helpers and it was a privilege to have them come talk with the children about the importance of fire safety. The children were excited to see the equipment and clothing the fire fighters wear. They learned many important facts about how to stay safe in case of a fire.

It was a very exciting and educational experience for the children. It was great for them to have a hands-on experience and talk with the fire fighters about their jobs. The children were allowed to walk through the fire truck, which was very exciting for them! It was a great way for the children to learn about the community and the important roles community helpers have in our lives.
