Reptile Show and Fall Festival

Prospect celebrated fundraising success with a Reptile Show and Fall Festival.

During the Reptile Show students were introduced to reptiles from the Cold Blooded Encounters Inc. Zoo in Monroe, NC.  The reptiles included a lizard, cockroach, turtle, alligator, and several snakes!  Students got very excited every time a new reptile was introduced. The students who sold the most items were seated in the front row and allowed to touch most of the reptiles, if desired.  Once the reptile show was over, the top sellers got to hold the biggest snake!

The Fall Festival was held immediately following the Reptile Show.  The PTO made the Fall Festival a huge success with many parents volunteering while teachers were given a paperwork day.  Several parents manned each station while another parent led each class from one station to the next.  PTO worked very hard preparing each station.  Some of the stations were a sack rack, kick ball, rock wall climb, musical chairs, snow cone refreshment, designing a fall themed necklace, and drawing.

The day was full of fun and laughter for the students and the enjoyment of checking items off to-do lists for teachers.  For this, PTO cannot be thanked enough!
