Second Grade’s Family Breakfast
The second grade students at Prospect Elementary School invited their family to school for breakfast.
The second graders read the book Molly’s Pilgrim by Barbara Cohen, researched their family tree, and created a paper doll representing their family’s heritage.
Mrs. Lamb, Ms. Lewis, Mrs. Picerno, and Ms. Williams were impressed with how the projects turned out. The students and their family worked together to find out interesting facts about their family. One student learned that he had a family member that was a governor!
The project facilitated a global learning experience for all of the students as they learned about others cultural diversity.
The students were elated to show off their final products to their family and share coffee, juice and donuts together before another glorious day in second grade!
