Flowing with the Two-Hour Delays makes our week Productive!

This week with two days of a Two-Hour Delay did not stop WDES students neither staff; instead, WDES went with the flow and made the best of the week!
Weddington Elementary along with Weddington Middle School partnered with the American Red Cross and hosted a “New Year, New Life” Blood Drive. “New Year, New Life” Blood Drive was a great way to rally our schools and community around a cause that saves millions of lives each year!
Weddington Elementary students had a pep rally with Charlotte Checkers “Chubby” and friends! They stopped by to encourage our students to always be respectful, responsible and to work hard in their academics and athletics.  Weddington Elementary students will also see “Chubby” again at our PTA Family Fun Day on January 18th at the Time Warner Cable Arena beginning at 12 noon to watch the Charlotte Checkers take on the Texas Stars. Tickets are on sale, for more information visit our school’s website!
To end our week, the Arts Council performed “Too Many Frogs” for our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in our gymnasium! Although, Weddington Elementary had a Two-Hour Delay for two days, we ended with another productive week!
