Shiloh welcomes Mrs. Simons as a 3rd grade teacher!

We are very excited to have Mrs. Simons on staff!

On Friday, January 17, Shiloh welcomed Mrs. Melissa Simons as the newest member of our staff. She has joined us as 3rd grade teacher, taking over for Mrs. Ashley Cole who recently relocated out of state. We are very excited to have Mrs. Simons on staff!

Melissa Simons is a NC native who received her education degree at UNC-Charlotte. She has been teaching for over 10 years as both a classroom teacher and a reading interventionist in Charlotte Mecklenburg’s schools. She loves teaching all subjects but her favorite is reading, where she holds an extra certification. Over the years, Mrs. Simons has taught many grades, including a multi-age classroom.

When Mrs. Simons has free time, she enjoys running, reading, and being a mom to her 3 children: Mackenzie, Connor, and Emma. Bo, the family dog, is also a special family member. Her favorite place to be is on a sandy beach and of course, Shiloh Elementary
