IB Diploma Programme, Class of 2016, Application Process Opens February 1
The application process for the Union County Public School’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at Marvin Ridge High School begins February 1, 2014. This program is open to all rising juniors in Union County who meet the criteria for acceptance. The IB Program is acknowledged around the world for providing a college-level curriculum during the student’s junior and senior years. It is an integrated program of disciplinary study which emphasizes concurrency of learning, academic integrity, internationalism, breadth and depth of study, and education of the whole person. Students completing the IB Diploma Program are highly prepared and sought for post-secondary work in universities throughout the world. The International Baccalaureate Program in Geneva, Switzerland, awards the IB Diploma. We recently awarded IB Diplomas to our Class of 2013, whose pass rate and diploma percentage was higher than the world average at 94%.
Admission in the program is highly competitive and is based on specific criteria stated in the application and student responses to curriculum prompts that will be given at the school on Saturday, March 1. The application for the Class of 2016 will be available on our website on February 1. There will be a prospective candidate and parent meeting on February 18, 2014 at 6:30 in the MRHS Media Center.
