Celebrations Around The World :Mrs. Wilkins’ 4th Grade Class
In December Mrs. Wilkins’ 4th grade class did a powerpoint project on Celebrations Around the World, using Google Docs. Every student in our class, chose a different country around the world. We went on our laptops and researched what the holidays were like in our own country. Once we got our facts jotted down we put it in our Powerpoint. Then if we wanted a picture we would search one and copy it on our powerpoint. When we were all done with our powerpoint then Mrs. Wilkins pulled the whole classes powerpoint on the Promethean Board to show everyone.
We learned a lot of interesting facts. Did you know that in Canada they put a big Christmas tree in the middle of the city and people gather around the Christmas tree and sing Christmas songs? Also in Costa Rica they call Santa Claus, Nino’s Dios. Another interesting fact is that in Russia on Christmas day they go to church or have a big feast. Our class enjoyed working on computers and researching about other celebrations that occur around the world. We have even started our next research about countries within South America.
