White Honored, Men's Basketball Heads into Playoffs
Good Evening, this is Mr. Conner with your weekly message. Winter sports are winding down and I want to compliment our Basketball, Wrestling Cheerleading and Dance Teams for their commitment and performances this season. The Men's Basketball Team has moved into the playoffs and will host Crest High School on Monday at 7 PM. We have moved the Required Springs Sports Parent Meeting to Tuesday, February 25, at 6:30 PM in the auditorium. Spring sports begin this week and there are a multitude of events for you to enjoy this spring. Please check the Maverick Message and our calendar for these events.
Activities this week include:
WorkKeys for select seniors on Monday and then the ACT for all juniors on Tuesday, March 4. Both of these are State Accountability Measures so student performances count.
College Cafe is open Tuesday for any juniors who want to practice their test taking skills.
Progress reports will come home this week. The dates for the grading period have been adjusted for the snow days.
The Blood Drive will be on Wednesday sponsored by HOSA and Red Cross clubs.
The district is repairing some wiring outside the E Wing. The E Wing doors will not be open for entrance in the mornings to ensure the safety of our students. Traffic has gotten more congested in the Marvin Ridge area so plan ahead to avoid being tardy; the bell still rings at 7:50 am. This has been an issue for all of us not just students, so we all have to leave a little earlier each morning.
Congratulations the MRHS ISEFT team, Aniket Palkar and Prakash Mishra for receiving 2nd place in the Technology and Engineer Category - Districts. They will advance to State competition at the end of March. Go Mavericks!
