CATA Students Head to Alabama
The cast of The Parchman Hour will perform their winning competition play this Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Batte Center at Wingate University before they leave to compete in the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC). The show starts at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $7 and are available at the door. All seating is general admission and seating is limited so if you want to see the show, plan to arrive early.
The group will next travel to Alabama on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. This is an important trip for the students as they will represent North Carolina and the NC Theatre Conference (NCTC) at the Southeastern Theatre Conference as one of the two winners of the NCTC Play Festival.
Students will have the opportunity to see shows from across the southeast - the region is represented by 10 states They will also have the opportunity to attend a variety of theatre workshops and audition for colleges from across the country, including some of the biggest programs in the country.
Please join us in saying "break a leg!" to the cast and thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible.
