Celebrating Dr. Suess

The Kindergarten students of Rea View enjoyed a special reading experience at the conclusion of Dr. Seuss week! Their week of focus on the works of Dr. Seuss corresponded with Dr. Seuss' birthday (March 2) and the National Education Association's Reading Across America Day (March 3). Mrs. Frey, kindergarten teacher, and Mr. Ferrando, Rea View parent, "performed" a spectacular reading of the story Bartholomew and the Oobleck! Students experienced Oobleck "slime" afterward. Students also graphed silly socks for the story Fox in Socks and graphed rainbow goldfish for the story One Fish Two Fish! Events such as this help students see the joy in reading, which we hope will last a lifetime!
