6th Annual Egg Hunt for Wolfe Students
On Friday April 4th students from CATA’s SADD Club went to the Wolfe School for the 6th Annual Egg Hunt. They were joined by Red Cross Club students from Monroe Middle and their SRO, Monique Holt, and members of the Monroe Police Department.
When the Wolfe Students came out to the playground they found students eager to help them hunt for eggs. The Easter Bunny and CATA Cougar were on hand, much to the delight of the Wolfe students.
CATA Senior Paige Finney, who has participated in the last three Egg Hunts, said she looks forward to the event each year. “I love watching the kids light up when they find an egg.”
Officer Shawn Parler, CATA’s SRO and SADD Club co-advisor, has organized all six of the Egg Hunts. She said that she thinks the event is “great for the CATA students as well as the Wolfe Students. I love seeing my students be positive role models.”
CATA’s SADD Club would like to thank everyone who donated candy, eggs, and baskets, the CATA teachers and administration for allowing the students to go on the field trip, the Wolfe Teachers and Principal Breckinridge for their help, and the Monroe Police Officers for coming out for the event.
