Successful Food Drive for Union County Community Shelter

Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we were able to collect 2,462 items for the Union County Community Shelter's Hope Food Pantry. Mrs. Minick's fourth grade class alone collected 182 critically-needed items, and took the top spot in this category among all 30 homerooms. The week included educational and hands-on learning opportunities for our students. Students were able to learn about food waste, and help sort, count, and categorize the food contributed by their class. This was a successful school-wide project to help provide critically needed items for local families in need. Thanks to PTA Community Service Committee Chairperson, Jackie Myers, for her leadership of this project and to everyone within our school community who contributed to its success!
