Shiloh Rocks in Field Day

Principal Spencer and Blaze perform during Field Day

Shiloh enjoyed a fun-filled and certainly memorable Field Day on Friday, April 4. Thanks to the precise planning of PE teacher Mr. Mike Roy, Shiloh’s annual Field Day was a success. Students in all grade levels were able to enjoy themselves at various stations that were set up on the playground. At any given point, students were engaged in fun activities that involved cooperation, coordination, teamwork, and most importantly, lots of fun. We thank our Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and parent volunteers for their time and efforts on Field Day.
One added bonus to this year’s Field Day was the fact that Shiloh students met the BARC challenge. BARC, or “Bulldogs Accept a Reading Challenge,” required our students to read at least 300,000 minutes at home. Our young Bulldogs accepted that challenge, and exceeded our school-wide goal. As a result of meeting this challenge, all students were treated to a performance by a special musical guest. However, this guest was no stranger to them, as it was Shiloh’s own Mr. Spencer! Mr. Spencer brought in his electric guitar and played some “riffs” for the students. As you can see by the video below, our students seemed to enjoy the performance.
Again, we thank everyone in the Shiloh community for coming together and helping to create a wonderful day of memories for our students.
