A Good Haircut for a Great Cause!

Matt Clipston, Coach Jeff Pucek, Britney Seneff, Mrs. Lisa Taylor, Principal

Porter Ridge Elementary School has participated annually in Jump Rope for Heart. This is part of the American Heart Association’s annual fund drive and raises monies to support research and education initiatives in our community. This year, our students met the fundraising goal for the school and the top two fundraisers were able to give Coach Jeff Pucek, our Physical Education teacher, a good haircut for a great cause!

The top two fundraisers are Britney Seneff, a first grader in Ms. Veronica Terradista’s class and Matt Clipston, a third grader in Ms. Nicole Sellers’ class. With the assistance of our bookkeeper, Mrs. Danette Griffin, Coach Pucek was able to receive a new haircut. Our Principal, Mrs. Lisa Taylor, was also there to help cheer the students on during the event!

The students and faculty were all able to enjoy the event during the live in-house broadcast! Plans are already being made for next year’s American Heart Association fundraiser at Porter Ridge! Thank you to Coach Pucek for sharing yourself with this Porter Ridge Elementary School and a great program!
