Teachers and staff honored during Appreciation Week

There is a saying that those who can't do, teach, yet really teachers have to be prepared to do many things: teach, educate and advise parents and students, nurture, create, listen, comfort and learn. Teaching is a challenging job with many unique frustrations, but the rewards of teaching are numerable. Some of the many benefits include the following:

  • Experience the joy making a difference
  • Enjoy interpersonal interaction
  • Be a Lifelong Learner
  • Enjoy lots of vacation

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week (April 28th - May 2nd) is an effort to honor teachers as well as all other staff members – school nurses, custodians, paraprofessionals and so on – who play a role in supporting students.

Teachers and staff are a leading influence on today's youth. It is their hard work and dedication to their students that puts the joy in learning. As outstanding teachers and staff making a difference at Weddington Elementary School each day; it's important to take this week to recognize them.

Thanks to all the teachers and staff who make Weddington Elementary School a special place of learning!
