4th Grade Travels to Raleigh
The fourth graders recently traveled to Raleigh to visit the North Carolina Museums of Natural Sciences and History. The students had a great time seeing many exhibits that portrayed what they have been learning throughout the year. Students started at the Museum of Natural Sciences where they saw North Carolina’s natural treasures, animals native from the coast to the mountains, and were able to do hand’s on activities. They were able to experience a rainforest with butterflies and other animals native to the rainforest.
After lunch, everyone went and experienced the Museum of History. The students were able to continue the hands on experiences of milking a cow and lifting a water bucket that natives would carry from the well to the house. Many of the students enjoyed the sports exhibit that contained many famous sports people who were from North Carolina or played a sport here.
In the North Carolina beginning to now exhibit, the students were in awe of the plane that was used for the first flight. Mrs. Stephens and Mrs. Laputz were extremely impressed with how well behaved the fourth graders were during our entire trip. Everyone had an amazing day in Raleigh.
