Tsitouris leaves Parkwood in the record book

Parkwood forward senior Emry Tsitouris

Parkwood forward senior Emry Tsitouris finishes her high school career in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association record book. Tsitouris ended her career with an astounding 1,361 rebounds making her the sixth-highest rebounder in the history of the NCHSAA.

Tsitouris, who will be attending USC-Aiken next year and will be a member of their basketball team, averaged 24.1 points per game this season.

“To accomplish a record like that in a category such as rebounding shows what a competitor Emry is. Rebounding is an effort skill and Emry is among the greatest when it comes to effort,” commented her Varsity Women's Basketball coach Kate Edwards.

Tsitouris commented on her rebound record saying, "Playing here at Parkwood has been an honor. These past 4 years have shaped me into the player I am today.  I couldn't have accomplished anything without my team, so making it into the record book is really a reflection on how great my team is."
