Mrs. Helms’ and Mrs. Griffin’s classes visited Belle Terra Farm on Friday, May 2nd. Farmer John, Mrs. Betty and Brooke were the best tour guides ever. We walked through the barn and saw chickens, turkeys, pigs and a calf that drinks from a bottle.
We also got to see some very fat pigs that were almost ready to have babies.
We walked around the chicken pen and saw where Farmer John picks up eggs from the chicken coop.
We even went on a hayride to see cows, sheep and beehives.
One of the sheep had twin babies born that morning.
We ate a picnic lunch at the pond with homemade cookies for dessert. Thank you Mrs. Betty!
We finished our day with cornhole and fishing. Some of us caught our very first fish.
It was the best field trip ever!!!
