Cavs Enjoy Annual Spring Fling
Cavaliers took to the field to celebrate Spring Fling on the gorgeous afternoon of May 23! Spring Fling is an annual event hosted by the Student Council that students look forward to all year. Students have a chance to spend an afternoon outside together enjoying food, fun, friends, music, games, and yearbooks for one of the last chances of being all together during the school year. Over 900 students attended the event.
Several clubs got in on the action this year. The Environmental Club hosted a Recycling Olympics, the German Club hosted a corn hole game, and the Animation Club held a face-painting booth. Each class sponsored an event; freshmen held Tug-o-war, sophomores held Dizzy Bat, juniors held Sponge Relay, and seniors held Piggyback Racing. Kickball, volleyball and Frisbee were also available. The long-awaited brand new issue of “The Conquest,” the CHS yearbook, was distributed. This year’s edition is named “Out of the Blue.” Students enjoyed reading and signing each other's copies.
Spring Fling marks the beginning of the end of the school year as students start to prepare for final exams and seniors get ready for upcoming graduation. The event is hosted by the Student Council which is advised by Ms. Heather Buskard, Ms. Karen Ponikvar, Ms. Nicole Mosley, and Ms. Kim Wren.
“The majority of the student body attended and everyone seemed to have a good time. I think it went really well!” said Ms. Buskard.
