2013-14: History in the Making for Shiloh!
Now that the school year is over, we can reflect back on what a wonderful and historical year that we had at Shiloh. 2013 was the year that Shiloh won its 2nd National Blue Ribbon Award! Our current Shiloh team now shares this most distinguished, respected, and rare distinction with the Shiloh team of 1999. We certainly tip our hats to the 1999 Shiloh team, and we are honored to forever be in their company.
It just takes one quick look around our gym and the outside of our school to see all of the other awards that Shiloh has won in addition to the Blue Ribbon Awards. These awards are the results of countless hours spent in the pursuit of excellence. While we respect our past accomplishments, we as a staff will continue to keep our eyes on the future. As we are bursting with pride at our recent events, we also know that our work is not done. We have new students to educate, new relationships to build, and new challenges to face.
In moving forward into the 2014-15 school year, the Shiloh administration will remain committed to the following areas: Maintaining high expectations for our students; pushing our students to grow and to succeed; maintaining an open-door policy with the staff and the Shiloh community; seeking continuous improvement; accepting “no excuses,” and making our mark- one child at a time.
We are all part of something very special here at Shiloh. Let’s celebrate those successes together, and also work together through the inevitable challenges that the future will bring. Parents, you and your awesome children play a large part in everything that we have accomplished. For that, we are most thankful.
Until we all meet again, please make time to enjoy your family and friends over the summer.
