CATA student places fourth at National HOSA Conference
Central Academy of Technology and Arts student Kaley Kirby recently finished fourth in the nation in a national leadership conference.
Kaley, who attended the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, from June 25 to June 29, competed in the Life Support Skills event.
Kaley, who graduated with the CATA Class of 2014 this past June, was one of the top 10 finalists presented finalist pins for their participation in the event.
In order to qualify for this national event, Kaley competed in and placed third in North Carolina’s competition.
This was Kaley's first time attending the national event and her principal Kim Fisenne said she did a great job representing CATA.
CATA students will continue to work toward achieving great success next year as well, as HOSA will be preparing for another year of competition, Fisenne said.
HOSA is the only national student organization that exclusively serves secondary and post-secondary/collegiate students in pursuit of a career in the health professions.
