Summer Refresh Update
Students have been out of the buildings for several weeks but employees of Technology Services have been working diligently throughout the summer to prepare student devices for the 2014-2015 school year. Last year UCPS deployed over 23,500 Lenovo Chromebooks to students at the secondary level as an additional learning tool to utilize throughout the school year. At the end of the year these devices were collected and sorted for repairs.
Technology Services employees and summer interns physically touched each Chromebook to check its operational status, clean the device and make any necessary repairs. Chromebooks have also been updated to the appropriate version to maximize the end user experience. Additionally, iPads at the elementary levels have been updated and will be ready for teachers upon their return to school.
