New Traffic Pattern Begins August 25

The traffic circle at the 5-point intersection is nearing completion and students at Piedmont High School will have a new traffic pattern for parents who drop off and pick up their children. According to principal Jonathan Tyson, "It is important that parents follow the new traffic pattern to insure the safety of all students as the transition is made to the new traffic circle."

The "Road Closed" signs will be taken down in the coming week to reveal the new traffic circle that is designed to make the intersection safer for parents and students.  As part of the plan to improve safety and traffic congestion, a new traffic pattern will be used for parents dropping off and picking up their children at Piedmont High School.  This new traffic pattern will be in effect beginning the first day of school on Monday, August 25.  Parents will enter Piedmont High School from Love Mill Road using the stadium entrance.  To view the aerial drawing of the new traffic pattern, click here.  The only cars that will be permitted to enter Piedmont High School using the front entrances will be students and staff with a Piedmont parking pass displayed in the car.

Students wishing to purchase parking passes are reminded of the sale dates.  Seniors will be able to purchase parking passes on Tuesday, August 19 from 2-4 p.m.  Juniors will be able to purchase parking passes on Wednesday, August 20 from 2-4 p.m.  A reminder that all fees must be paid prior to purchasing a parking pass, and students must be in good academic standing.

Parents who have questions about the new traffic pattern should contact Jonathan Tyson.
