Books, Books, and more Books!

East Union Middle School has once again been the recipient of over 1,000 free books for our students. This is made possible through the generosity of the First Book organization and its corporate sponsors.

Each year, First Book provides an opportunity for schools like EUMS to apply for books in order to promote reading – on the condition that all the books will go home with students to begin or continue growing their own personal libraries.

Reading is a core component of what students do at East Union Middle School. Dr. Kenneth Hoover, principal at EUMS, says he is committed to ensuring that all students are given every chance to grow as readers. “I think it is critical that we put books in the hands of our students,” Dr. Hoover said recently. “I am very excited about the opportunities to add quality books to each student’s home library, and I can’t wait to give them more.”

East Union Middle School is located on U.S. Highway 74 in Marshville.
