“SUPER SITTER” Babysitting Training Class

UCPS Latino Outreach Services and CMC-Union partnered together to offer a free babysitting training class.

CMC-Union has hosted classes for students ages 11 – 15 for the last 6 months and we continue to have students interested in attending for the next 3 months of this year. The program provides students with a range of injury prevention and safety skills as well as training in decision-making, basic childcare, leadership and professionalism. Each participant had the opportunity for CPR hands on training with mannequins. The classes are very interactive with a few homework assignments as well as a test at the end of the course. Participants receive either a “Participation” or “Completed” certificate depending on their participation and test grade.

We plan to hold more classes in the future.
