Fun Run Fundraising Kicks Off!

Students learned about the Fun Run Fundraiser during a pep rally on Friday, September 12, 2014.

The Poplin Elementary PTA Annual Fun Run Fundraiser was officially kicked off on Friday, September 12, 2014. This is the school’s largest fundraiser and the goal is to raise $22,000 to use this school year. Fundraising is needed to purchase a permanent shade structure over the playground, a rock wall and ropes for the Gym, and supplemental educational supplies for the classroom.


The Poplin PTA is providing awesome prizes for participating in the fundraiser including a Fun Run T-shirt for every Poplin Elementary School student. Other prizes include the class who raises the most wins a field trip to the Wise Acres Organic Farms Pumpkin Patch and will also get a hayride.  Also the student who raises the most will win a $50 Target gift card and a personal Zamboni ride at the Extreme Ice Center of Indian Trail! Students who raise at least $50 will be entered into a drawing to win four free tickets to the movies at Sun Valley Cinemas, a Chick-Fil-A Prize Pack, free yogurt from Sweet Frogs in Indian Trail, Mini-Golf coupons from Trails Dynasty in Indian Trail, free kids meals from Texas Roadhouse, and a free MVP Season Pass to Sports Clips Haircuts in Indian Trail.

Detailed information about the Fun Run Fundraising has been sent home with every child. Donations can also be given online at YouCaring.  All donation forms are due back to the school by Monday, September 29, 2014. The Fun Run will take place during Related Arts classes on Friday, October 3, 2014.
