PRMS Administrative Team

From left to right: Monica Palmer, Brian Patience, Lee Casey, Tiffany Mitchell-Chaney

The start of the school year ushers in a series of new beginnings and fresh starts. This year at Porter Ridge is no exception. The Porter Ridge pirate family would like to welcome our new administrators to the crew.

Our new captain, principal, Lee Casey comes to us from Porter Ridge High School where he served as an assistant principal for two years. Mr. Casey has been in education for 17 years. He has a Master’s Degree in School Administration and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology. He is married with three children and lives in the Charlotte area.

Mrs. Tiffany Mitchell-Chaney, our 6th grade administrator, has been in education for 10 years and in school administration for two years. Prior to her career in education, Mrs. Mitchell-Chaney worked in community development and executive non-profit management. She is devoted to the community and helping students reach their goals.

Ms. Monica Palmer, our 7th grade administrator hails from Cleveland, Ohio, but has called Charlotte her home since 2003. She has been honored as teacher of the year in Charlotte and was also featured in Dr. Marilyn Friend’s national inclusion video. Ms. Palmer has earned a Master’s Degree in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in Language Arts as well as a Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership.

Not a new member, but certainly an integral part of the crew, Dr. Brian Patience, rounds out our administrative team. This is Dr. Patience’s seventh year at Porter Ridge. Dr. Patience has been selected as a North Carolina Principal Fellow and has earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations.

We are very fortunate to have such a dynamic group of administrators and are looking forward to a great school year!
